Aaron Walker Partners With Valentin Pierburg for the International GT Open

The news is out—Aaron will partner with Valentin Pierburg for this season's International GT Open. Valentin is joining the GetSpeed team and will compete with Aaron in the Mercedes AMG GT3 in the Pro-Am class for 2024.

 

 

"Pierburg has celebrated several victories over the last decade in GT3 racing with Mercedes-AMG. Among the 36-year-old German’s major achievements are the victory in the 24 Hours of Spa, the Pro-AM title, and Runner-Up in GT Open. Additionally, he is the Asian Le Mans Series Champion and Runner-Up in the FIA Motorsport Games alongside Fabian Schiller.

Eighteen-year-old Walker competed last year with GetSpeed in the GT World Challenge Europe, finishing fourth in the Pro-Am standings at the end of the season. In the GT Open, he secured third place overall in Monza and participated in the Asian Le Mans Series at the end of the year.

The GT Open 2024 season kicks off in April, from 26 to 28 in Portimão and will be followed by Hockenheimring from May 10 to 12. Five more events are scheduled in Spa-Francorchamps, Hungaroring, Paul Ricard, Red Bull Ring, and Barcelona, before the season finale on October 18 to 20 in Monza."
